Heavy build-up of FOG layers in the network causing frequent fatbergs blockages ?
Significant FOG build-up in sewer pump stations requiring increased cleaning ?
Frequent need for vacuum truck cleaning leading to an increase in maintenance costs ?
Higher concentration of FOG can lead to the formation of fat bergs, scamming, pump blockages, pipe restriction, pipe blockage plus the formation of odour related issues like hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S). But these issues can also end up interfering with the sewage treatment processes at wastewater treatment plants.
With a higher neutralising value per dry kilo when compared with caustic and lime, ACTI-Mag raises the pH of the waste stream and allows bacterial breakdown of organic matter and saponification of fats, oils and greases FOGs.Download the Solution Spec Sheet
ACTI-Mag is a concentrated stabilised suspension of magnesium hydroxide, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Mg(OH)₂.
ACTI-Mag slowly releases hydroxyl ions which breakdown low-density, large-chain fatty acids into glycerol and various types of soap, both of which are more readily digested by bacteria in wastewater.
Wastewater has large quantities of low-density, long-chain fatty acids. The carboxylate salts that are O-produced further facilitate the breakdown of other fats.

Faster reactivity = less costs
Calix core technology makes high surface area materials (with a honeycomb-like structure), giving you a price and a reactivity advantage.
Our materials are proving to have similar properties to highly active nano-materials, without the health/safety concerns and high cost, but with all the benefits.
Calix is able to offer better service, reliability and performance to its customers because it controls the entire production process from mining of raw materials, processing and production.
Calix owns and operates a mine, production, testing facilities and close-to-customers manufacturing plants.
