BOOSTER-Mag, making crop protection safer

Existing chemicals and pesticides for agriculture are already in the process of being deregistered – especially in Europe – or regulations around when and how they can be used are becoming tighter. These restrictions require farmers to look for innovative solutions to help them overcome pests and disease in their crops.

ACTI-Mag, converting waste water into energy

Treating wastewater from industries and farms has a dual potential benefit. Treated water can be recycled to help cut down industries’ fresh water use, and the waste load in wastewater can be converted to biogas and used to produce electricity.

Calix ACTI-Mag can increase the quality and quantity of the biogas coming from anaerobic systems, and provide a significant economic boost for food processing plants. The energy produced from biogas can be fed back into the grid or used in other parts of the production process, which represents a real opportunity to reduce energy costs.
