Poor solids, organic capture an issue in your solids separation processes ?
Poor dewatering and low cake dryness increasing costs of waste handling, transport and disposal ?
Excess usage of chemical elements like lime and alum leading to higher operation costs ?
Biochemical Oxygen Demand or Biological Oxygen Demand, is a measurement of the amount of dissolved oxygen (DO) that is used by aerobic microorganisms when decomposing organic matter in water.
A fundamental requirement of wastewater treatment is the removal of BOD by the bacteria, biomass, or “bugs”.
If wastewater is not adequately treated before discharge to rivers, organic pollution can trigger algal blooms which can lead to the release of toxins and deplete dissolved oxygen. In severe cases, algal blooms can results in fish kills and contamination of drinking water supplies.
Boosting anaerobic digestion, ACTI-Mag supports bacteria and speeds up the breakdown of complex organic chains (including proteins, carbohydrates and lipids) into smaller units such as amino acids, sugars and long chain fatty acids. The process reduces the rate-limiting step in the digestion process. This results in improving BOD/COD in the final effluent.Download the Solution Spec Sheet
Increase your throughput with minimal capital expenditure. Reduce your discharge in BOD, COD, nitrogen and phosphate. Reuse more of your treated water and reduce overall consumption and waste discharge.
Unlike caustic or soda ash, which add sodium, ACTI-Mag adds nutrient value (magnesium) into secondary treatment biological processes and returns nutrient to irrigated soils.
Calix core technology makes high surface area materials (with a honeycomb-like structure), giving you a price and a reactivity advantage.
Our materials are proving to have similar properties to highly active nano-materials, without the health/safety concerns and high cost, but with all the benefits.
Fully integrated supply chain – from mine to customer
Calix is able to offer better service, reliability and performance to its
customers because it controls the entire production process from mining
of raw materials, processing and production.
Calix leverages a culture of innovation to provide fully customised services such as design expertise, engineering know-how, detail engineering, installation, piping and commissioning services to provide turnkey systems for chemical dosing of Magnesium Hydroxide Liquid (MHL).
